Agreed. We're (wrongly) looking at this from a Euro-centric perspective as a Euro OE distributor, but of course there are other OE manufacturers as you correctly point out. Also agree. Perhaps your suggestion of testing the lower rated life span bulbs could be a starting point. Be interesting...- powerbulbs

We've been involved in automotive lighting since 1977 and have always recommended that drivers use original equipment bulbs. This does restrict the choice to Philips, OSRAM and GE.
