what light is your go to light when you need a bunch of lumens from a handheld night

what light is your go to light when you need a bunch of lumens from a handhel... Olight LE Kit R50 Pro Seeker LE Good level spacing (60 400 1500 3200) with instant turbo & instant strobe. The strobe is the best I’ve ever used & keeps cars away from me & the pup. Amazing recharging dock, fast...

Most reliable: Fenix, Nitecore, Olight, or other?

+1 Gene Malkoff is a rock star both for manufacturing an American-made light & for top notch customer service. I've had problems with Nitecore headlights but not their flashlights. Olight is my current favorite in a production light. The M2R Warrior is a great EDC light, 18650 with mag...

Olight R50 Pro Seeker lanyard fix

I love everything about the R50 Pro except the lack of a lanyard attachment point. I debated about sending the light back for a refund but like it so well that I decided to try to fix the issue. The only good place for a lanyard attachment point is just behind the switch, near the head. The...

    Upgrade has arrived

“... had to use pliers to get the two pieces fully seated, so they will not ever come apart.” And alternative to a very tight mechanical fit is to use Loctite retaining compound. Quite a few different variations are sold but I use one that will fill a .015” gap. Nice job, that turned out...

    Upgrade has arrived

Sounds like a Yuasa, very nice quality. I have a Suburban Spin-Master 5C, sold on eBay as a "lathe with missing parts". That was a good buy for $25, new old stock. https://www.subtool.com/st/sm5c_spin-master_spin_index_fixture.html

    Upgrade has arrived

You may want to try one of these next time, lots cheaper & much better grip & centering (around 0.0005" more or less). About the best $50 you can spend, I use them all the time for holding thin hollow tubes (sounds like a flashlight :) ) They also allow holding bezels & other fragile parts...

The SureFire P2X-B "Fury" 500lu flashlight thread

Re: Glass not all its cracked up to be in the Fury... IMHO the older style Fury was far too slick. I modded some by cutting grooves and adding O-rings to the body and that helped quite a lot. I also tried heat shrink mesh tubing and that was good. The new design is a huge improvement and...

    PM1236 Which oil to use

The #10 has the viscosity of water & isn’t suitable for a gearbox. DTE Light (ISO 33) isn’t much better. DTE Heavy or Medium Heavy are the best choices (ISO 100 or ISO 68)
