Olight S10 Baton (XM-L, 1xCR123A/RCR) Review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO and more!

Thanks for the advice! I'm currently away from home so I used a cotton swab and some hand sanitizer (63% ethyl alcohol) and it seems to have done the trick. When I get home, I'll use something better. I wanted to add that while some have complained about the moonlight mode memorizing, I quite...

Olight S10 Baton (XM-L, 1xCR123A/RCR) Review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO and more!

I just got my S10 last week after losing my main EDC. I really like it - the UI, for me, is just about perfect and I like that it has a really low low - one of the most useful features in a light, in my opinion. The only complaint that I have is that sometimes when I set it on a hard surface the...

    Foursevens Preon P0

Thanks for the runtime graph hiuintahs (been there, btw). I was almost positive that it would run better on rechargables because most current-regulated lights do. I'd be willing to bet that runtimes are even better on lithiums. Don't know what's up with all the naysayers? This light looks like...

Would You still Buy an Arc AAA Today?

My first good light was an Arc AAA Premium back when I joined these forums in '06. It was recommended by a friend at work who was also a part of these forums. I loved the light when I first got it, but over time I developed some niggling issues with it - the foremost being the solder blob for...

Any news on the Thrunite AAA?

Thanks Craig - this gives me added peace of mind. :)

Any news on the Thrunite AAA?

I came home yesterday and had a chance to test out my new Ti (#2011000367). I've gotta say that I LOVE this light! It is nearly the perfect light for me and my needs and I haven't been more excited about a light for a long time. I, like others, thought that I wouldn't like the extremes in...

Any news on the Thrunite AAA?

My guess to this is that they already have most of the parts manufactured for the alpha stage of release - the prototypes are so they can iron out the brightness levels after they get enough feedback.

Any news on the Thrunite AAA?

This made me laugh, because I'm in the same boat. Unfortunately, my mailman generally comes later and I will probably be gone for work before he gets here. If that's the case, I won't be able to play with it until Saturday. :(

Any news on the Thrunite AAA?

Yeah, the name, Ti, seems really unconventional. First, Ti is titanium and this light is aluminum??? Second, ThruNites most recent light models are TN** (TN10, TN11, TN12). So maybe it should've been called the TNi or TN1. Unless they eventually plan to make it in titanium, the naming seems like...

Any news on the Thrunite AAA?

I purchased the ThruNite Ti on Saturday and it shipped on Monday. It should come by tomorrow. I'm excited for this light; I love a firefly mode that comes on first, but it's also cool that it can be twisted all the way to high, as well. I would maybe prefer the high setting to be somewhere...

    Preon Revo Discontinued?!

Thanks for your post David - it was very refreshing to hear from you again. I know it must be frustrating dealing with CPFers, as they tend to get a little over-zealous at times, are nit-picky and have unreasonable demands from a business standpoint. You can't please everybody all the time...

    Preon Revo Discontinued?!

^^^I agree with you, Beacon, though it is their prerogative on how to run their business. We're not entitled to anything from them. As nice as it would be for them to cater to the niche market, the reality is that they've chosen a different road and it just is what it is, as sad as that may be.

    Preon Revo Discontinued?!

I just ordered the aluminum version of the Mi10 from Going Gear. Apparently, the stainless steel one has been discontinued. This is okay with me, as I prefer the aluminum - lighter and cheaper! It would be nice if the stainless were still available, though, as I know that there are those that...

    The Quark lights thread!

That's one of the most appealing things about this light, IMO. Too many lights lack a true low low. It seems, though, that it is finally catching on as more and more light manufactures seem to be adopting this. The beauty of a low low is when your eyes are already night adapted, such as when you...
