    Putting a MAG 3D LED module in a 5D

Would this fry the module? I have a really old streamlight 5D that I would like to convert to LED. I believe that I can only use a drop in that doesn't have threads (steamlights are different.)

I want to mod my old streamlight 5D light

Thanks for the ideas. The ROP bulb conversion sounds like the ticket. Could anyone compare the length of 6C's to 5D's? Or give me the measurements of each. I do not have access to any for a couple of days. What exactly are Sub C's? Thanks

    bedside flashlight

Re: Nightstand Flashlight Elektrolumens DaCree is my new favorite nightstand light. It has a perfect size hotspot for indoor use. Personally I want my nightstand light to blind on the receiving end. I also like the momentary on tailcap switch better than any forward or reverse clicky. My...

3d mag and mini mag drop ins?

I plan on using the SSC drop in with a 2D body and 6 NIMH AA's in D cell holders. I wonder if you could run it in a 2C body with 3 CR123's in a sleeve of automotive heater hose? Anybody try this yet? How are runtimes?

    LAPD's new flashlight

I don't see a problem with the switch. Now the cops will have to shoot someone:xyxgun: when they don't comply instead of a 11 hits with a light. We know whats coming next they'll have to turn in their hard firearms for foam padded ones in case they have to pistol whip someone to keep from...

    New Member - A couple questions + I just bought a couple "drop-ins"

For what it's worth, my most used light is a a Mag 2D with a drop in led module from terralux that has two 1.25W leds. I also put an aftermarket frosted glass lens from flashlightlens.com. I have much brighter lights, but this is one is used a lot due to the large flood and runtime of about...

    CREE weapon lights?

Check out this link http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=157227 Personally I think the Elektrolumens Lucidous xr3 with a mini-mag pressure switch is the way to go. The sidesaddle light mount for a shotgun looks like the best I have seen to date. I for one prefer the light up...

    LED life

It is a matter of time until the manufacturers are building a 750 hour led. Wouldn't you want to sell more? How much engineering and testing goes into building a 60 month automobile battery? Whatever they spend must be worth it.
