    Novatac 120P or 120EDC?

If you get the P and leave it alone it will function just like the plain. If you ever decide you want to program it, you'll have that option. Maybe you'll need a flasher someday, or want to change the levels, or what order they're in. Unless you don't want the flat tail, I can't think of a...

Here's what two I received a few weeks ago look like. Same orientation, one front view with one side showing the wires. Rick

    new light....no fire

I don't know if there is supposed to be a spring, I would guess there is. Is the cap anodized like a normal one with the bare area where the spring seats? I don't know how they're cut down for length. If you have another mag try that tail cap or its' spring. Just gauge the tension so that you...

    McLuxIII PD...or...NovaTac EDC 120P

The hds light may be out soon, maybe orders by the end of the month. The Arc LS incarnation is coming sometime too. If that helps in your choices. :grin2:

    new light....no fire

Might need multiple clicks to get it going? Check voltage at the bi-pin socket. Check continuity of bulbs to make sure they're good.

    Novatac bashing...

Some have had legitimate issues. While customer service is great, it should not be a replacement for good QC. I do like mine though and don't have the issues others have. Just for accuracy, the u60 closeout was $125 and the u60gt was $135.

    Mag85 assemblers/sellers

Yes it is using the WA1185 bulb, but this one is using potted bulbs. The bi-pin is put into the pr base(like a normal flashlight bulb/mag bulb). This is nice if you want to retain the stock function, use other bulbs or even an led drop-in. Most mag85's probably use the kiu socket or some other...

Be aware that this one is using potted bulbs, more expensive and maybe not as easy to find.

HDS EDC U60 (Seouled) vs Novatac 120P...which would you choose?

I certainly wouldn't sell yours to buy the other. My 120p has been great so far none of the reported problems others have had. Well maybe a little flicker, but the hds does that as well. The UI is probably an improvement. Setting brightness levels at each setting is really easy. You'll have a...

    NovaTac 120P Runtime plot

I just tried this using an mp rcr123a in the 120p. I set max setting at the 60 level, two steps down from the double blink. I ran it for 45 minutes and did the click-click-press hold to change levels. It went up one level, then another to the double blink max. Mine doesn't seem to change...

    mag100 bulb?

Everything I've read calls for eleven cells max for the 64610 in direct drive otherwise :poof:

What is so great about these Novatacs?

I think you must really handle one to appreciate them or the hds light. They aren't cheap, but they aren't "cheap" lights either. Granted the novatac is not yet proven, but first impressions are good. They really are as bright as the fenix, as they are rated by torch lumens not emitter...

I guess they have them kinda hidden. Click the news link and scroll to the August 3 entry.

Has any found smaller O rings for Rexlight?

Received the 16mm black rings from dx today here. They are 100% better than the worthless rings that shipped with the early model. I've used two on the, tail and it screws on with no problem. I haven't dunk tested it or anything else, but the fit seems good.

Novatac EDC 120P vs HDS EDC B42XR-Seoul (pic heavy)

That is the proper clip placement using the instructions from the novatac site. The other method you see is a modification to carry the light bezel up.
