    Leather Holsters

Not sure how a leather holster could fit lights of different size. Mitch Rosen makes one for the 6P. A bit pricey but the products are high quality. It's the last item on this page. http://www.mitchrosen.com/product_line/accessories/body_accessories.html

    surefire G2 problem?

I have a couple G2s that I have had for years. I can't recall either of them ever dimming. They work fine then one time you go to turn on and nothing. I will say that I don't use them for long periods of time at once. If I did I suspect my experience may be a little different. Now I also have...

Which one of these S.F.'s will be less redundant?

Never had a heat problem with the L1. I don't use my L4 alot for extended periods but it gets hot pretty quickly, like in a matter of minutes. These two are really quite different. L1 is lower output very tight beam. L4 is high output very wide beam...hence the "wall of light" reference.

Which one of these S.F.'s will be less redundant?

I have both. Other than the output there is huge difference in beam pattern. The L1 has a very tight/throw beam while the L4 is much flood. For extended use the L4 get's really hot. I don't EDC either one. The L1 is used around the house for not getting blinded and/or waking others up late at...

    G2 in Real tree hardwood!!!

I thought the same thing until I asked. They relocated the Surefire stand at my GM to back by the gunsmith counter.

How do you carry your flashlight?

My HDS EDC is always in my front right pocket. Other than that there could be anything from a Surefire G2 with P61 bulb in a holster to a Fenix P1 in a coat pocket or around my neck on a breakaway lanyard. For the most part it's the HDS in the pocket though, no clip. Of course there are other...

    Favorite "responsibly priced" lights :)

Easy one for me. Surefire G2. Not the greatest runtime but a lot of light and dependable with the lithium batteries. I keep them in vehicles with an extra set of batteries. I'm confident a year of two down the road I can pull one out of the glove box if needed and have plenty of light. When my...

Added an L4 to keep my E2L company

Good to hear. I just ordered an L4 a couple days ago. Was back and forth between the L2 and L4. Since I already have several multi level lights and I wanted a bright floody light I ended with L4. None to be had locally here either.

Valuable lights on the airport conveyor belt

Just got back from a week long business trip. With me went a G2 with a spares carrier, an HDS ULT60XR, a Fenix L1P and a PT Quad headlamp. I put all these in a carry on, normally my laptop case along with my keys phone and everything else metalic before I even get to security. Once through the...

1-2 Lumen Narrow Beam for reading?

I do have a couple of the Freedoms but not the covert and they spray light everywhere. It is an option I handn't thought of with the output level I'm looking for. Same with the ear-light, never seen that one before and never noticed them at Wal-Mart but I'll take a look. Thanks for the ideas.

    Best Frequent Use Light Is...

I'll admit I have never tried one. Mainly because I don't like to carry things in my shirt pocket, if I even have a shirt pocket. I guess that could put me in the "too geeky" category. I don't think that is it though, because I get enough grief for carrying a multi-tool, flashlight, pocket knife...
