Surefire z2 bored for 18650s and a lf xpl single mode drop in for primary light, g2z with an old lf xpg drop in running on cr123s as backup light. Rechargeable maglites are in the vehicle if I need longer runtime.
Anyone have any ideas about fixing the tailcap issue where the switch is stuck on and cannot be turned off with the push button?
Mine failed after about 20 minutes total of usage and cannot be turned off.
Surefire finally got back to me by email and are sending a replacement but it seems to...
My car came with a Japanese road flare attached to the passenger footwell :). I don't have a light anywhere in it though because there's no storage space and hate crap rattling around in my glove box.
They are toys that I use as tools :D.
Same with cars, to most people their car is a tool to get from A to B. For me it's a toy that also happens to be able to get me from A to B.
Well the MN11 on a M961 would be drawing about 2.5A so that's a safe bet. I have no idea about the maximum current draw, if you're planning on a 4A draw on 1X 4.2V 18650 you could try 2X IMR16340s to raise the voltage to about 8.4V (prob more like 7.5V under load however) which would lower the...
Oh my.........
What do you do with 14 C2s? are like 1 or 2 users and the rest held in a collection box or you hide C2's in every nook and cranny inside the house?
I wouldn't pay anything more than $90. Just keep watching CPFMP, you'll find some for around $70-80 with a few little scuffs if you want a user. I remember getting mine for like $75 NIB before they were discontinued.
Used my G3 to install a new clutch and rear main seal, it held up well to being dropped, thrown, dragged and stuck into odd metal places. There's still not a single sign of wear on the body.
The flickering is due to dirty contact points, clean all the contact points thoroughly, if you're running a 18650 try 2x cr123 instead because the lower voltage may cause flickering.
For reliability a 6P twisty with a single mode drop-in is the best IMO, theres the least amount of parts to fail...
