    1x26650/18650 flashlight with built-in charger

From the info I can find, the EC60 is more of a thrower. I prefer a floodier light, so the EC50 Gen 2 seems the better option. The Klarus G20 is very much a flooder. I will check out that group buy. The Olight R50 can only charge its own special battery so that's a no-go.

    1x26650/18650 flashlight with built-in charger

After some extra searching, I decided to go for a single 26650 flashlight. At this moment the top contenders are: Klarus G20 Acebeam EC50 Gen 2 Hard to get beamshot comparisons on those.

    1x26650/18650 flashlight with built-in charger

Hi there, I am looking for a good choice for my next flashlight. I own a few and all flashlights have benefits but for this one I would like to find one that suits most of my needs within a single package. So a real must is the built-in charger using either a micro or mini-usb port. Not a...

Sanyo XX 2500mAh NiMH batteries experiences and results

A 30 minute charger will not fully charge your batteries. Not even the MAHA 9000 gives you fully charged batteries when DONE is displayed. Battery charging terminates at either -dV or when a certain voltage is reached for the MAHA charger. This voltage is 1.48V and most batteries reach this...

Sanyo XX 2500mAh NiMH batteries experiences and results

Correct, but the performance of the batteries was consistent. It seems I posted a wrong result. The result of the Sanyo XX after 21 days was 2159.

Sanyo XX 2500mAh NiMH batteries experiences and results

I did not see this in my humble test but I only cycled them about 10 times before the test took place. It would be interesting to see what results I or someone else gets with Sanyo 2700 batteries that were cycled 50 times or even more.

Sanyo XX 2500mAh NiMH batteries experiences and results

    I have some new results! I stored 4 Sanyo 2700 batteries and 4 Sanyo XX batteries. I discharged one XX and one 2700 after 21, 60, 120 and now 250 days. These are the results: 21d: XX: 2159 CORRECTED 2k7: 2269 60d XX: 2130 2k7: 2180 120d: XX: 2004 2k7: 2109 250d: XX: 1921 2k7: 2020 I am...

Sanyo XX 2500mAh NiMH batteries experiences and results

First ones I see with capacity over 1000mAh out of the box. I thought they only charged the XX's to around 1000mAh from previous experiences. The MAHA C9000 terminates when the cell reaches 1.48V (or -dV, whatever comes first), to get a "fully" charged cell, you need to keep it in the charger...

Sanyo announces Eneloop Pro and Eneloop Plus cells

My own storage test "proved" that after 4 months the Sanyo 2700 still has around 100mAh of capacity compared to the XX. 2100 (S2700) vs 2000 (XX). From the info provided by Panasonic/Sanyo we finally know what kind of remaining capacity we should expect after a year. 1250mAh for the 2700's after...

Tronic 2500mAh AA experiences and results

I already have enough batteries, so I could test them thoroughly. Around 15 cycles will show something. But I find it very odd that their LSD-cells are that good and their high capacity cells are just not up to it.

Tronic 2500mAh AA experiences and results

After buying "red" Tronic LSD 2100mAh batteries last year, and being suprised about their performance I saw high capacity cells where sold at Lidl (in Belgium at least). With a price of €5 for 4 batteries, I could not resist. They came out empty out of the box. I did a break-in on cell 3 and 4...

Sanyo XX 2500mAh NiMH batteries experiences and results

Update on my storage test. After about 4 months, the Sanyo XX had 2009mAh left. The Sanyo 2700 stays ahead with 2104mAh. I will let the remaining batteries rest for at least 2 months more. I do expect the 2700's to keep their lead. My conclusion so far: If you are looking for the cell with most...

    New Maha Imedion LSD NiMH cells - C, D & "9-volt"

For use in a portable amp, the 8.4V is more than enough. Now I use Tenergy 9V 250mAh (not that great) and Pansan 250mAh (better).

Sanyo XX 2500mAh NiMH batteries experiences and results

Fresh out of the package, my results were similar. It seems that they are only charged 40% tot halfway at the factory. Doesn't really make them as ready-to-use as other LSD-cells.

    vtec 3000mAh Nimh AA

At this point is seems optimistic to think that there can be a NiMH AA battery that has a capacity of 3000mAh. I have a lot of NiMH batteries and the best ones I own (Sanyo 2700) perform close to 2600mAh when discharged at 500mA/h. They hold a charge for a couple of months (at least still after...
