    Well, Thank You again. Everything seems to be working fine now. All the green LED's came on. The last four D cells to come off the charger read between 1.38 and 1.4 volts after a four hour rest. I'm charging some AA's now. Your advice was greatly appreciated. <S>

    Thanks for the information. I have a non contact thermometer and about 4 hours into the charge cycle all the batteries are reading about 88 F. I'll keep an eye on them. Sounds like the microprocessor isn't quite as bright as I might have hoped for. :ironic: <S>

    Hi, I have both in the new style. You can only tell the difference in brightness and throw side by side. The 'Hi' is very bright and does an excellent job of flooding a room, for example. The longer run time is a plus also.
