How much light would be lost due to dusty reflector

I once took a UCL lens that was covered in dust, as it was lying in my desk for a few weeks. I measured the transmission with a light meter, then cleaned it and measured it again. The difference was about 0.5%.

Nearly all of my batterystation CR123a degraded of the last few years...

Yes, my cells look different than the current ones. They have the yellow lettering. How do we know that the new ones are better? How can we know how they will perform in 5 years?

Nearly all of my batterystation CR123a degraded of the last few years...

Hello, I bought about 15 CR123a batteries from batterystation about 5 years ago. Today I wanted to find out if they are still able to deliver some current. So I short-circuited them with my DMM for about half of a second. Of these 15 cells, 5 showed a reading of about 3 - 4 Amps, the rest of...

Ra Clicky (HDS Systems EDC) - Part 11

My NCR18650 2900 mAh cells are 18.13mm in diameter, the same cell in the protected version (Redilast) is 18.43 mm in diameter. In both cases I measured the postion with the largest diameter. That's not so much of a difference. I totally understand Henry's and your explanation, but the same...

Ra Clicky (HDS Systems EDC) - Part 11

Why 2 mm? Can you enlighten me? Btw: I have an "old" EDC U60 with the 18650 extension tube. I'm using the new panasonic 2900 mAh cell in it. I EDC this combination every day, in my opinion it's one of the best 18650 lights available. I'd just like to get a more efficient LED and a higher...

Ra Clicky (HDS Systems EDC) - Part 11

Why not just increase the outer diameter by 1 mm? This shouldn't be too noticeable. André

Ra Clicky (HDS Systems EDC) - Part 11

What's the reason there's no 18650 Clicky? This would be the perfect light. 18650 cells now have up to 2900 mAh and are only 1mm more in diameter. Plus they are much more widely available because it's an industry standard for laptop cells. André

I'd really like to see a runtime plot of the SC60 with one of these new 2900 mAh 18650 cells. is that information available somewhere? André

    Zebralight H51

Re: Zebralight H51 details/preorder!!! Well, it seems I have the same manual like you do. I think this is the relevant part: From Off Short click turns on the light to High instantly. Click again quickly to cycle from High to Medium When you do a double-click, the light recognizes this as a...

Re: Zebralight H51 details/preorder!!! I also noticed that and thought that it was not mentioned in the manual. But then I looked again into the manual and saw it. It also says that when you click 3 times, you will get the lowest setting. I tried that and it also worked! André
