Flashlights in TV shows and movies (Part 4)

I just watched Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials in cinema. Does anyone know what flashlights they used?

Do you gift away personal lights or do you buy lights specifically for gifts?

Not saying that you're entirely wrong or I'm absolutely right. If you notice on both our posts there are common areas that are touched on. Similar ideas are there, differing slightly only in wording and some context. Everyone has his reasons for doing things, we all run in different circles and...

What Light In Your First Aid Kit?

I placed headlamps in our first aid kits: the energizer 3-led and petzl tikkina. You'd want both hands free when tending to your or another person's injury. These lights will supplement the other flashlights on your person, home, or vehicle.

What is the first thing you look for in a flashlight?

The first thing I consider when buying a flashlight: purpose. Will the light be used for night reading, edc, general utility, spelunking, search and rescue? Once that's clear that's the time I consider brightness, then other specs like runtime, modes, spill, throw, beam and build quality. You...

Do you gift away personal lights or do you buy lights specifically for gifts?

As stated in my initial post, for flashlight enthusiasts and gadget/tool lovers, flashlights are great gifts. To rephrase my answer, gifts should have the receiver's interests in mind, and not the giver's. If the receiver loves flashlights or if he/she needs a good flashlight, then by all means...

Do you gift away personal lights or do you buy lights specifically for gifts?

+1. Most of the lights I purchase as gifts for the average person, though, are the ones with the simplest of interfaces. Something everyone can use around the house or EDC-sized but won't likely be left in a drawer if they found it too complicated. Mostly these types of flashlights are stocking...

A medical light for a physician

Much as I love LED technology, I still prefer the old school 2AA incan penlights for pupillary reflexes. These old penlights do the job perfectly: a narrow beam so you can test one eye without easily illuminating the other, and not too bright to cause patients headaches. Bluish light is harsh...

Would You Lend Anyone Your Flashlight ?.

Your friend is a verbally abusive cheapskate. I will not give the time of day to anyone who insults my gear and yet wants to borrow them. If he breaks your flashlight during the trip, most likely he'll insult your gear even more and might probably even blame you for lending him such a 'crap'...

    need help in the PHILIPPINES

There are sports and gunshops that sell Armytek but cannot exactly remember their names. Those shops take part in the biannual Arms & Defense Show; they're usually scheduled around July and November. I don't think there are certified distributors of Sunwayman and Nitecore in Manila. Also try the...

Flashlights in TV shows and movies (Part 4)

I realized that I was at least a semi-flashaholic when I identified the TK45 in Prometheus. I had actually been more interested in the flashlights than the story line. :D

Do you have a 'strategy' for which light in which place?

Same as gcbryan, I prefer lights powered by AA, AAA, or 18650. AA/AAA for easy availability, 18650 lights if an extra lumen boost is needed, and for the extended runtime at the lowest modes. AA/AAA light on keychain or purse. 18650 light in vehicles plus a headlamp. And an extra battery or two...
