    Which Smartphone to buy

I highly recommend checking out: www.gsmarena.com www.phonearena.com excellent reviews, news, specs, up-to-date models Like some others said, do you value a physical keyboard(for text input, etc) or is touch enough for your needs? With the HTC TP2, you can tinker with xdadevelopers forums for...

    SF X300 Vs Streamlight TLR-1

Surefire X300 uses the "rail clamp" system with a pull down tab on each side. There is a more permanent option included in the package to lock the latch in place, requiring extra effort and time to remove. www.surefire.com/HandgunWeaponLights The X300 is not only brighter, but also less bulky...

phones: looking for user feedback on 'samsung corby' and 'LG POP'

Never used either phones you mentioned. Cool review. Sorry to hear about the cracked screen. From my limited usage of LG phones, their construction doesn't seem to be as good as Nokia or Samsung. I wonder what caused the crack? It has a resistive screen, so I would have thought it would have...

Going to sleep while charging your cells

Why didn't I think of this simple fix? I actually bought something similar(mechanical) for my brother's night light to save electricity. The Brinkmann brand simple version is like $5 and some change at Wally World. Woot! No more waiting for the batteries to juice up. Thanks for the tip, Drywolf.

Need bicycle, the CPF of bicycle world?

Finding out I can use my lights for night time bicycling and saving gas has gotten me an itch to get a bike for my commute and exercise. Do you know what forum(s) are most informative like CPF for the bicycling world? I'm a total noob and need to learn as much as possible before making a...

Pick me a watch for Christmas

Did you decide, chew socks? Is there a particular feature you need/want? I wear a Casio PAW1300 negative all black and it has served me well for these few months so far. The blackened metal part of the face on mine is scratched and worn showing shiny metal already (like PVD or anodization...

    NEW FENIX MC10

I'm with the others on the stiff switch. It would have been nice to have it like the Zebralight UI, where you hold down the button for the 3 different levels of brightness, instead of another press hold. Great postive, audible detents when adjusting the degree of the head. Clip is helpful. Mine...

    Fenix TK30 or JetBeam M1X

I was looking at the TK30 comparisons and stumbled upon this beamshot comparison by some korean flasholics. They show the M1x with better throw and more concentrated hotspot, whereas the TK30 hotspot is bigger and more diffused. You want more throw or stronger flood?

    Fenix TK-30: Dimensions

Diameter of head: 60mm I do not have the extender with me right now. I wish the reflector was deeper for better throw.

    TK30 or TK40

I'm quite positive you will be impressed vs your 2D m@g. You might even get a bit of a grin on your face when you turn it on Max.

    Finding houses in the dark.

I meant hole is visible in the center not donut for the TK30 beam, doh!. The TK30 can fit in your pockets with the bezel up, just not all the way in like your PD30. You can also downsize the TK30 by unscrewing the extension piece to make it 1x18650 for tops of quoted "370 lumens". To my eyes...

    TK30 or TK40

Re: Similar Lights to TK40 You guys with both(TK40 and TK30), is the reflector size the same for both? I see a noticeable hole in the center beam at close ranges in my TK30. The collar metal area where you twist to change modes looks like it could be thicker.

    Finding houses in the dark.

I've tried the TK30 and it does indeed have a donut(at least mine did) and it was very noticeable at close ranges. It beat my Quark 123^2 neutral, P3D(pretty sure the PD30 is throwier then this version), and P60 Q3 5A lights. I can try it against my ROP LE if you like. If this is suburbia...

    Surefire X300

Usually when people say RCR123, I'm thinking typical 3.7v ones. But there are 3.0v (3.2 or something) ones. Which RCR123 are you using, elipem01?

    Surefire X300

I would not use anything except primary lithium CR123a's in the light. The higher voltage from the RCR might blow the LED. The newest X series light is the X400, which is a X300 with a red laser. It has a different mounting system(more permanent ish). Same brightness light output.
