The low mount benefit is that they will live a longer life. The higher up they are the more lights I go through after dragging them into granite and other things. Fender skins are consumables as well as core supports. I decided finally to ditch the core support and extend the engine cage forward...
Roger all of that. Thanks guys. I'm going to use them as is, glad to hear separate housing is not needed. I was unaware cutoff on these was behind the lenses. Thanks for clarification.
The overall length is deep but with as small as they are I can work with it no problem.
I understand sharp...
I've seen alot of the projector modules but it was always my assumption they were designed to be behind protective lenses. That is pretty much how all the OEM guys do it.
Are the lenses durable enough take sticks and tree limbs dragging over them?
Also, is the cutoff on these pretty good...
I apologize about not being more specific.
As far as visibility: Not much is needed other than lows and highs that are as good or better than sylvania sealed beams. This is for my crawler. My sealed beams are a separate low and high. Finding a spot for those with a small signal somewhere is...
I've been searching for a few days now and figure it might be easier to post.
I need a low profile, low beam, standalone headlight assembly solution. Ideally I need low/high and turn, but the turn signals can be separate if something interesting arises. My mounting requirements are a depth of...
Been awhile since I posted anything. But I have got some new flashlights :twothumbs, and I modded just about every other one I own.
Anyways I've been pushing out some folders lately as well as the usual stock of fixed blades.
Heres a few folders:
This one is courtesy of a dealer site...
The last one is a resonance with CF and black ash burl half bolster.
CF doesn't itch anymore, I think I've become immune as I work with it alot. But man it does suck for the few first times :)\
Oh yeah, you guys here got a sneak peek... these blades are currently at a popular magazine.
These are some blades I finished up the last week and will be leaving on Monday. I saw the first snowfall doing the Godspeed, that sure wasn't fun. Well anyways hope you all are ready for winter :D
Thanks George.
This was the last knife in a run of stellite. Near the end of the run it was normal working with the stuff and I found the ceramic belts worked pretty damn well on it.
Resonance 6k with Carbon fiber scales and dovetailed Coyote G10 half-bolster.
Handrubbed finish. ss416 pin and Titanium lanyard tube.
Those are some good cigars too :twothumbs
Hope you guys enjoy!
Anyways to the pictures.
Hey everybody. This is the load I'll be taking to PKA +- a few blades I haven't taken pics of.
Heres some shots of a few things I'll be taking to Denver.
AOSm2 Recurve. Double Dyed Maple Burl with a Titanium half bolster and dovetailed Carbon Fiber Bolster. Tapered Tang CPM154.
AOSm2...
Yeah that handle setup was pretty sweet.
Anyways if any of you guys will be at the PKA show in Denver Aug 15-17 I'll be there. Stop on by and say hi, oh yeah bring some flashlights
