I think whatever comes next, and I'm looking forward to it, McGizmo will remain the mark of pioneering the path of efficient LEDs, high CRI, use of titanium, tritium vials and sapphire lenses ! Yes, the whole package, quite an achievement.
Just got myself a NW H2R for 59 euros thanks to Amazon flash sale and I must say I am blown away by the quality of the beam. It is simply perfect : smooth spread, no donut, no edge tint shift, perfect medium-wide angle (for a headlamp), and the tint is nothing short of the most neutral...
Hi guys,
I have broken both ends of my Dorian SIGH19-2 blade, a $80 mistake.
I'm pretty sure I was doing everything right except for the squareness (0.015 out of square across the lenght of the blade, which doesn't seem much) maybe too low RPM and maybe to slow feed (it was kinda hard to...
Actually I have tried leaving some to evaporate a few days and it reduced itself to some sort of very light gel, it did not gum up or hardened. But maybe I did not leave it long enough ?

Edit : Ok I did some search and the "Nuke" finish seems to be some kind of pretty harsh stonewash finish.
Sorry but I have never...

The first picture that shows it lit up is close to reality.
Hey,

Started by turning a aluminium sleeve :
I turned it from 7075-T6 aluminium rod. Blasted. Re-machined the shiny rings.
Moved onto the wooden base. Used a router pretty much...
