So whats the deal with the CR123A max discharge rate?
I've been doing some research and I can't help but notice - it looks like the universal max discharge rate on all name brand CR123As is around 1.5A. If that is the case, then why are companies using components that draw such high currents? Is it just generally agreed upon that exceeding the max...- TL-Mike

Titanium Innovations CR123A Explosion
Ran into an issue with a buddy using a Titanium Innovations CR123A (purchased through BatteryJunction) in a single cell flashlight with max discharge of 3A. I understand TI doesn't recommend this high of a constant current draw - but that still shouldn't result in the battery venting/exploding...- TL-Mike

Test/Review of Charger Keeppower L1
Interesting - I think the intended design was to charge the battery to 4.26V which from my understanding is considered a "safe maximum" although still not recommended since it's beyond 4.2. Perhaps your unit (or they all are) is slightly defective and accidentally goes a little over?- TL-Mike

What would you pay for a PCB 2600mAh 18650?
What do you guys feel is a fair price for a standard domestically purchased 2600mAh 18650 (protected)? In terms of quality, we'll call it right on par with Orbtronic and KeepPower.- TL-Mike
