Olight S15 (XM-L2, 1xAA/2xAA/3xAA) Review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO + more!

The s15 suffers from accidental switch activation from being loose in my pocket and using the clip in my pocket. I've had to replace it with the sc52w for my edc.

New Chargers of XTAR. XP4 and WP2s

Re: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?369657-Review-Thoughts-on-the- I found this info below on their site and it sounds like the XP4 should charge 4xNimh not just 2. "Charge four 10440/14500/14650/16340/17500/17670/18350/18500/18650/18700 Li-ion batteries and AAA/AA/A Ni-MH...

New Chargers of XTAR. XP4 and WP2s

Re: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?369657-Review-Thoughts-on-the- Frankly, this is stupid from the end users standpoint. If this is true, the value of this charger for me is zero. This is very disappointing.

    Flooder with no hotspot

An option to consider might be something like an EagleTac GX25A3 or a Sunwayman D40a with a diffuser. The lights run on AA's and come in both cool and neutral tints.

    Bright is Not Always Best

If you need a light that has red you might also want to consider the Nitecore SRT3 or SRT7. I have the SRT7 but I'm not sure if the low would be low enough for you. Also, it's a bit finicky to activate the lowest setting with the control ring and there is no direct access to it unless you set...

    Bright is Not Always Best

If you'd like something small I can recommend the Zebralight SC52 or the olight S15 as they both have very low moonlight/firefly modes. The zebralight can go lower than the s15 and you can access moonlight mode in both lights directly without having to cycle through higher modes.

What 14500 do you use for your Olight S15?

I have two S15's and the AW 14500 protected batteries work in both of them. The funny thing is that I also have Keeppower 14500's and while they work in one of my S15's they do not work in the other. There is a thin washer-like disc at the head of the light used for reverse polarity protection...

    Are UltraFire Flashlights any good?

I have several and am not really happy with any of them. I don't buy them anymore. Quality control stinks and you never really know what you're going to get. I've had some not work out of the box and I can't really ship them back to china. If you take into consideration the cost of the ones...

Olight S15 (XM-L2, 1xAA/2xAA/3xAA) Review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO + more!

If you look closely, there isn't really a spring in the head of the s15. It's simply flat wire in a spiral. Also, mine has a black washer in the head most likely for polarity protection so a button top cell is required. I also bypassed the tailcap so the length of the button is definitely the...

Olight S15 (XM-L2, 1xAA/2xAA/3xAA) Review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO + more!

My s15 just arrived today. Overall, I really like the light with one major exception. My Keeppower 14500's will not work in this light. It appears the button on the battery is not quite long enough. This is a shame since I have more coming for this particular light!

    Eagtac SX25L3 (3x18650, 2750lm)

I'm not a big fan of rotating head lights for the same reason. On the GX25A3, I too experienced the gritty threads and also flickering in the output. I think there are microscopic thread burs when the light is new that create this gunk/gritty material. The good news is that this clears up...
