I am sure it had some use on it from the Try Me feature, but even four fresh alkalines don't impress with run time, in spite of Energizer trying to eek more time out of the batteries by self-dimming the lantern. The alkaline batteries get down to around 1.37 volts and the lantern just shuts...
I just bought one of the 330 lumen versions for myself. I love the diffusion panel, but it has two serious design goofs. First, I started using it with the four supplied Energizer alkaline cells. The light ran on high for maybe ten minutes, then shut off. After a few more tries, it would not...
Search eBay for seller "rdana." He sells two for $9.95, free ship. However, he states in red that although these will fit the C9000, "...Measurements are unreliable in discharge mode. Therefore, capacity testing is unreliable in some C9000 chargers. The adapters are not guaranteed to work in the...
I don't recall the details of the class action lawsuit, but I received the voucher in the mail, which would not become valid until and if a judge ruled against Radio Shack on the case. They gave a date to check back after the ruling, which was a few months after I received the voucher. I set the...
I picked up an Icon Solo at Radio Shack a month ago for free with the $11 "lawsuit" voucher that was sent out in the mail six months ago. I have a question about it's operation. The package says the light starts on low, and when you press or click again within two seconds, high will be accessed...
Funny, I could not get into that page using my IE, but was able to with Firefox. It appears the address given for Leatherman and that for LED Lenser are the same, so for now, anyway, they are honoring the LED Lenser warranties.
The question entered my mind, since it appears that Coast has taken over LED Lenser, but denies their product are related, will anyone honor the lifetime warranty on my LED Lenser flashlights if the need should arise? The LED Lenser website seems to be defunct. Would Coast deal with any warranty...
Thanks for the suggestions. Maybe I should have also noted that the tighter the focus, the better. She just needs to illuminate the needle tips while working, and the wider the angle, the more it reflects in the plasma TV screen. Which of the above mentioned choices would give a less floody...
My wife uses a headlamp while knitting. We use a 3AAA Dorcy with two 5mm LED's. It is dim, which is good, because it gives her just enough light to work by while not blinding her while watching TV and knitting. It also gives great life out of three AAA cells. But it is impossible for her to open...
Would you be so kind as to measure for any parasitic drain through the switch when the flashlight is off? I went to charge my eneloops in the HP550, and they were half-depleated after a couple weeks non-use, and I don't recall using the light for any real length of time to account for that. That...
So many thoughtful, technical theories why they went the way of the battery carrier instead of D cells. Sometimes I think maybe the reason is as simple as Coast has a fetish for battery carriers, nothing more.
One thought on the choice of 9 AA cells instead of D cells... When I...

Now in Costco's in the SF Bay Area today. Next... coming soon to a store near you. I called up a store near me, and they said their order arrived today. Another nearby store said they were "in transit." So I went to the store that said they had come in. They were unloading...
Me want. I'm part of the 1% (on CPF) who actually has respect for LED Lenser/Coast lights, and I can't get one of these? Waaaaah! Clearly, Coast should be nationalized, and rebranded Coast-to-Coast, so we can get wider distribution of these!
Two Costco's near me in the SF Bay Area don't say...
