    I respectfully disagree. It's the Preon 1 Ti warm bin for me :) it's even been through the wash (accidentally) twice.

    It does. It has the same lens as the LD02 and really, same performance spec except for the maximum output. Personally I can't see these displacing the LD01 SS and E05. If I didn't have any then I might pick the LD02 but otherwise not a keeper for me. Luckily they don't cost me much :)

    Hybrid for some weight savings? Sure. Doesn't thread down all the way. The reverse doesn't work as the Au E05 head doesn't contact even when screwed down.

    Received our E05SS today. Here's a quick snap. The E05 isn't quite as nice as the LD01SS. I would say the machining is on par with the PD10SS if you've handled that before. The E05SS does feel significantly heavier than the featherweight counterpart.

    Shelm's ok in my books. Nitecore QC has been fine so far for us but not so much the other mentioned brand. Given they even cater to the neutral/warm crowd, they have an edge (so far).

    Who? What? Never heard of them :) in the recent months, Nitecore has surpassed Sunwayman by leaps and bounds unfortunately. You might find a seller willing to let it go for $60 but that would not be the norm.

    They can still be airmail but not standard consumer. We (and other companies) import hundreds and thousands of batteries at a time but pay a hefty hazardous goods handling fee. Support your local vendor :)

    Kind of neat. Cheaper than a "tactical pen" and probably more useful but leaves a bit to be desired. Notice mine came tarnished with what I can only guess are "factory" fingerprints. Novelty I guess. The performance is quite something though. My last experience with a whistle were those Fox 40...
