Hi folks,
Been looking around some time to find a single led narrow spot for reasonable costs. I like to have a single led, not an array.
Searches so far brought me to VisionX Cannon series and wonder how they work out in real life??
Are there better alternatives?
Different sizes and...
I am looking for a good led spotlight also.
(I will start a thread in automotive to ask for experiences lights.)
Wonder how the VisionX Cannon series work out in real life.
Different sizes and wattages, all single led and 12-30Volt.
Think I also found them without brand name which is good...
Using A123 4S 4Ah cells for over 5 years now. No regulating or protecting board or anything.
Dont use the light much nor long, but has always worked without hassles.
Usually charge it once, maybe twice a year.
Re: XX to XXX Watt Pichel Industries Rare Handheld Short Arcs. Military Quality
Interesting design!
Whats the story here... its a small world? Or just again good artists copy, great artists steal?
There also is the patent Pichel 1966 - US3675078 for the ballast/driver.

The ad says 'Ideal for any CCTV setup that requires longer-distance nighttime illumination than what most infrared security cameras are capable of producing.'
If meant for CCTV the light from the leds probably is around or up to 715nm. Visible for most people.

Just a matter of opening the unit and...
Maybe ask a good old fashioned opticien or photography shop for recoating. Or search on DIY telescope building forum and post question for local coating service. It's just a mirror, it is not precision optics.
Wouldn't be surprised when it is cheaper to buy another light second hand thats in a...

I would look for a automotive kit, and use it with a 24V to 12V DC-DC converter.
The same lumen and more throw from the higher surface brightness of the HID would be a simple...
Dimmable to almost zero is the most important, colour is less important. It's more choice then need to have multiple colours light.
Its all about intensity and wavelength. The artificial light should not be picked up to hard by the image intensifier.
What tubes are in your NVG? Do you use the...
Open for suggestions,can't decide:
I have a small light with D-size battery holder, fitted with a magnetic Fet-switch rated for 2.8 Amp.
Direct driving, what combinations of cells and led would stay below 2.8A?
