lipo charger. do or don't ?

I use my RC charger exclusively for all my flashlight batteries. Magnets on end of wire works fine.

which charger can charge D size NiMH batteries?

You can charge in series or in parallel. I have done both. Hobby chargers have balance taps so you can charge multiple in series and it will adjust output individually. I have been using this one for at least 6 years, no problems. http://www.hobbypartz.com/thac6smbachw.html For a little more...

which charger can charge D size NiMH batteries?

For the price of the Maha I would recommend you buy a hobby charger. More options, and more output. However, you would have to come up with your own way to connect the batteries. I use magnets.

Zebralight H600 MK II (Spot and Fill) vs H600F (Floody) vs H602 (no reflector) beams

I just measured a Panasonic NCR8650B and unless my math is off it's just under 66mm.

Can you recommend a light? Working on cars.

For working on a car what could possibly be a better fit than a headlamp? I have Zebralight H602w and it is the best tool I bought for the car. I can't imagine why you would want to tie up one hand and wrench with the other. If you want to poke light up at suspension, then yes, e25 should work...

why do all my friends buy dollar store shower head LED flashlights?

Every light has same reliability then. A Surefire either fails or it doesn't. A cheap China light either fails or it doesn't. You buy a lottery ticket. What are your odds of winning? You either win or you don't. 50/50. You should play every week.

why do all my friends buy dollar store shower head LED flashlights?

Actually that is how it is done mathematically. If Crelant has 1 in 100 chance of failing then the chance of both of them failing is 1/100 x 1/100 = 1 in 10,000.

    Quality charger for 18650 batteries.

I'm probably too late since it looks like you already bought something, but I would get this: http://www.hobbypartz.com/thac6smbachw.html?gclid=CM_4rJCdiMUCFQwtaQodwaMAVg and then go to marketplace and have cottonpickers make you custom harness. You can charge all 6 of them at once, at very...

    Flashlights that Charge - Why???

What venting is on a cell phone that is submersible? You weren't questioning a dubious battery. You were questioning the safety of charging in a tube so using a $3.99 battery is not the issue you brought up. How about e-cigs? Millions of them sold, many with USB ports. How many have thrown...

    Flashlights that Charge - Why???

The thread was started with regards to charging the battery in the tube versus taking it out and charging externally. Therefore the protection is not the concern. You will have charge circuitry on the USB device or on your dedicated charger. The only issue then is having it in the tube, which...

    Flashlights that Charge - Why???

Re: Flashlights that Charge That's nothing new. My Canon G5 which was introduced around 2003 has that.
