    Night-Vision (Red) Flashlight Suggestions?

I carry several flashlights at work, all of which are more then capable of blinding at distances I work with. What I'm looking for now, is a small, durable red light. I need something that won't mess up my night vision when slowly navigating through a desert area.... Also would use it to make...

Unfortunate news re: My Jet IIIM

Car = Department Property Gun = Department Property (Well, one of the ones I take to work is) The uniform that got torn = department property All other equipment is personally owned, well.. for my dept.... A lot of the issued gear is crap honestly, but it'll get the typical user by. I've paid...

Unfortunate news re: My Jet IIIM

Take a good 20 foot tumble down a hill while at a full sprint and see what doesn't fall off of your person with a duty belt. The flashlight wasn't the only thing missing :sick2: Perk to an open bottom baton holder.... you can holster your baton when it's expanded. Drawback.... damn thing...

Unfortunate news re: My Jet IIIM

I agree... we had a few officers shot at recently,.... and the suspects were NOT using pistols.... use your imagination. The Jeatbeam does have its weaknesses in the field... but there is no perfect product. I am really happy with the jet flashlight..... will be a no brainer to get another...

Unfortunate news re: My Jet IIIM

Well, I'm of the school of thought, while on duty that two is one and that one is none. That saved my butt tonight when I got into a foot chase when a guy ran from a traffic stop after providing us some false info and some other "issues" that I can't get into on a public forum. Foot chase...

K-9 LEO needs a light pulling dogs hir out looking. LOL

FYI, Magpul does not make that.... IIRC it's CAA - questionable quality in the past.

    Duty Light Suggestion

I really dig the enclosed tailcap.... it really makes a difference when it comes to accidentally bumping the switch. The switch is still very easy to operate with my thumb.

    Duty Light Suggestion

Well, ended up with a Surefire 6P with Click Switch, VTAC Light Mount and a Malkoff M60 I'm very happy with the setup, it throws pretty darn well at 100 yards. This specific carbine has over 10k rounds through it without any major hiccups.... other then replacing worn components.

Why do LEOs & soldiers need Blue Guns simulated maglites?

Other night filling out a form to check a prisoner in.... officer behind me didn't have a pen on his person, so I hand him mine. He walks away with it..... look on his face when I called him out on the pen theft was priceless.... "oh, I uhhh didn't know it was yours" :poke:

    Duty Light Suggestion

Stupid addictions..... They had the 6p's for $39 and the click switch for $41... ordered two of each. Why equip one rifle when I can equip two? :sssh:

    Duty Light Suggestion

hrmm... that may work nicely. Side note... what do you think the qd surefire light I have, with IR filter and VFG is worth? Not much sense in holding onto it.

    Duty Light Suggestion

Very aware of the change of impact..... I'm a bit of a gun-nutt  I'm leaning to the surefire light... honestly I havn't seen anything else that is close to being what I want.... (Single level brightness/protected momentary switch)

    Duty Light Suggestion

When I say it's my second... I mean because the first one failed one night after an hour of use (missing person search)...... it was replaced under warranty, however I still don't trust it as an "only" light because of it. There is a reason I now keep a G2 in my gear bag as a "backup" for the...

    Duty Light Suggestion

Already have one, however IMO it would not make a good weapon mounted light after my personal experience with it. I'm already on my second one.... got the first about 6 months ago. I can handle that being that I keep 2 lights on my belt, but with only one on my rifle, I need something more...

    Duty Light Suggestion

My current duty light "long use" is a Streamlight Stinger C4 LED DS that I sent in for some "work" and came back brighter then ever... it's brighter then anyone else's light at work (of same model)... not sure what they did, but they did good  Secondary light is a Jet III-M running...
