Help me find a non-PWM headlamp for running

Wiiii! Finally got it and I can report NO FLICKER WHAT SO EVER IN ANY MODE. Seems like the engineers did a very good job.

Help me find a non-PWM headlamp for running

Ordered the new 575 lumen version of the NAO but got the old 355 lumen version so I need to ship it back and wait for the real one to arrive. Tried several local stores to avoid this problem in the first place + test for PWM flicker but seems like the local brand Silva is king. One had the old...

Help me find a non-PWM headlamp for running

Tried it on my 9.4 km run. 130 lumen is bare minimum to do for running. The PWM was not noticeable until it started snowing/drizzle but acceptable. The difference in tint went unnoticed on the tarmac/gravel. "Intelligent Light" = one flood, one spot did reduce the tunnel vision drastically...

Help me find a non-PWM headlamp for running

People don't seem concerned about PWM and hence not the people selling them either so I walked in to a brick and mortar sports store and tried to explain my problem in vain (I got a hint of understanding when I compared to a DLP projector making rainbow colors during fast movements) but they did...

Help me find a non-PWM headlamp for running

Regulated as in adjusting the PWM duty-cycle to maintain constant output (flickering at that PWM frequently) or regulated to constant current though the LED? Huge difference for us flicker sensitive!

Help me find a non-PWM headlamp for running

Ah! I see myself not wanting to open a wet headlamp to get the battery out and let the moisture in, taking a shower and forgetting all about it and when I need it the next time, the battery hasn't been recharged. Pretzl sales rep did reply somthing a bit vauge about "direct current" when I...

Help me find a non-PWM headlamp for running

Sounds good. Do you have to take out the battery for charging or can you plug a charging cable to it?

Help me find a non-PWM headlamp for running

Haven't posted here for six years or so but my old account was apparently still working. So, winter is here and daylight hours are few and my current headlamp is PWM flickering and the beamshape is strange with no decent side-spill so I get tunnel vision after half an hour or so...

Cyclops Thor 15MCP to 120 Watt UHP

Re: UHP Lamp Driver, help needed please (solved) Great! The formulas was based on the suggested drive current for the optocouplers. 9 V for an interface is in no way impossible, just very uncommon. Also, 1000 is probably 100 ohm (100*10^0) which would end up with ~3,3 V, which is a common...

Cyclops Thor 15MCP to 120 Watt UHP

Re: UHP Lamp Driver, help needed please Sorry about the delay, had some Christmas and New Year to celibate, the later with electric fireworks ignition... I can see four optocouplers, three SFH610 and one H11L1. The one closest to pin 1 and 2 are for communication FROM the ballast to the...

Chinese 3W LED review [With pics]

More bond wires means that the current has several different paths to enter and exit the die with a larger cross section area using all bond wires than just one. If you take a look at wikipedia, although the example is a FET and not a LED, it uses three bond wires for the source and only one for...

How do I fix a compact fluorescent

One of the first things that break inside an CFL is the capacitor(s) drying up. If you don't value your free time very much or just would like to learn how they work and how to fix them, start by tearing it apart and check for deformed/leaked capacitors. Next step is to desolder it/them and...
