    A Surefire G2 or a Maxfire LX and both good inexpensive options for hunting. Not to mention, much easier to fit in your pack than a 4D mag.

    Does anyone know if the M1x will fit in a Surefire V71 holster? It seems well suited to LEO duties.

    The M1x will mount on the rail with a standard surefire mount. However, I don't think it will give enough light at 300m to be useful. It might do ok out to 200. I'll have to break out the range finder and a scope next chance I get and see what it will do.

    M1x color?

    From what I have been told, no one has any left and JETBeam has no firm date on when they will be making any more. So I went ahead and ordered one in OD from goinggear.com earlier today.

    I've emailed everyone (that I can find) that lists the M1X for sale and asked if they have the original color or OD Green, most haven't even responded. That's my main hold back on ordering one. I really really want one of the grey ones. :ohgeez:

    Gerber EAB (Exchange-A-Blade) Recall

    I agree that the most likely cause of the recall is the thinner than factory replacement blade. But I won't send mine back until I see the replacements. I only use it to open letters and save the edge on my minigrip.
