Hi, I am looking to get a headlamp that is directly chargeable through USB and that can also have batteries (AA/AAA) used in place of the rechargeable ones in case the need arises. My need for the headlamp will be while living and traveling in third world countries. Some of the time I will have access to power, but perhaps other times I won't, so I would like a backup option with standard alkaline batteries. I don't want to go through tons of batteries and want to pack light, therefore in headlamp recharging is important. My use will mostly be for reading and walking from point a to point b in the dark, nothing special. Given my needs I think that longer burn time rather than extra power is better.

I found a few headlamps that seem interesting, I was wondering which one you recommend or if you have any other ideas? Budget is a concern and so I have included ones in about the $50 range and skipped more expensive ones, though if I could find something good for cheaper I wouldn't complain.

The two I found are the Black Diamond ReVolt (seems to be well known and generally liked) and then the INOVA STS Powerswitch (links below). I also saw a cheap one by SunJack, but I am not sure if the product is that trustworthy based on my research. Is there anything else that people know about? What about a AA powered headlamp that charges via USB?
