Coleman 1000 lumen lantern

Did a little surgery on the 1000 lumen lantern, Iam guessing it is know around 1000 lumens lights up a 40ft by 20ft room really well[/IMG][.

I did a run time test on high for 8 hours, I couldnt really a difference in brightness.

I made a diffuser out of a plastic cap that I sanded with 200 grit. Stuck it on with high temp silicone, not the prettiest but works great.

Ya xlm-2 dedomed cool white 4500-5000k. Kinda wish I went with neutral instead but it's not to bad.

What I really like about the lantern is when its hung up their no shadow beneath it, they did a good job with the reflector.

Yeah, that looks like the XP-L HI to me, which is already dome-less. There's no point in using a dome-less LED in a flood light though, as the efficiency and output are slightly lower than the domed equivalent and you're not gaining anything in throw.
I wouldn't be so sure about connecting all those outputs in parallel either. It might work, but you don't know if it's going to affect the efficiency or longevity of the electronics. I would have used 5 individual emitters (e.g. XP-G2) and wired them in exactly the same way as the original board.
