Help needed on wiring an acrylic guitar with leds of different colors with toggle

Hey, I have a project that I am wanting to start soon and need some help. I want to wire some leds of different colors inside the body of an acrylic guitar. I'm thinking three different colors in three different parts of the guitar and a 3 way toggle switch for on/off/strobe, powered by a 9 volt battery. I am an absolute beginner meaning that I have never done anything with leds. I do have a basic understanding that I will need resistors so that I don't overload the leds but I have no idea how I would be able to make them strobe and/or wire the toggle switch as I mentioned.
