Hello,
I am Nico from Germany and also an Flashlight modder. I also did some mods on LED lights ( build an TK75 with 4x XHP70 and 16800 measured lumens in an calibrated Ulbricht globe ) normally i am an job and hobby electronics actually i make my electronics for energy and building master. I also like old good measurement instruments and tools like HP and Agilent Multimeters / oscilloscopes and good soldering Stations.
I am more an passive member, because im really active in the german Flashlight forum. But i think i will change it a little now really great community here btw.
Now to the actual part. I have bought an used in great condition MBS- 450 Maxabeam with original pelicase, Filters, complete schematics and Maintenance manual. I spend much work on it, i recut the threads to metric, build my own 10Ah LIFEPO Battery pack with self configurable screwable cells and an plastic IP68 switch cabinet. And of course i clean everything long and nicely.
So on, i contacted Bob here in CPF and he machined me an Adapter ( many thanks for that, great work dude ) for an Ushio UXL-75XE cause i am unable to get the MBA 2400 kit on ebay for an good price to germany. I also bought new gaskets and focusing srews from peak Beam.
So i was lucky as an snowman but an day before my new bulb arrived my Lamp ballast broke.
I checked everything up and can locate the defective components.
The Transformer T2 is burned
And the diode CR9 also
I cheked the Electronics and FETs with oscilloscope everthing here works so far, the EEPROM is also fine
So now i would like to ask if someone can please sell me the Transformer and Diode ?
The transformer transforms 12V primary to 2000v secondary. Primary coil have 12 windings and secondary has 2000.
Diode should be an normal rectifier diode with an locking voltage of at least 5000 volts
Also i would take an complete defective Ballast from someone
So i wrote enough
I hope someone can help me
Thanks for this great forum and your help
Ps: the red marked components are the defective ones
I attached some pictures so you can imagine what i'm talking about.
Best regards
Nico
