=( i was trying to put 2 N batteries in instead of a AAA to boost the power a bit, and wound up snapping off the actual white button that makes it go on/off....

any ideas on where to get a replacement?

or anyone want to purchase this unit? it works if you jump the 2 connections together that the button was in....i purchased for 175, willing to let it go for 100...

pst or reply =)

You could also install a remote tail cap switch like people get for Astonomy or optical alignment. It wouldn't be as graceful but you wouldn't have to solder and it would turn it off and on.

AHA i soldered a wire from the spring to the right socket (w/ spring facing up) and when i close the entire case it works!!!

to turn it off though, i need to unscrew the back just a little bit.

any suggestions on how to turn the tail-cap into a push-button or any replacements? i believe its a leadlight.
