Haha I know. I've heard good and bad things about the 519a 4500k. I know (to me anyhow) that the sw45k tint is superb. I never owned the 519a 4500k

The 519a 4500K is nice, but the 219a sw4500k is special.

I think the 519a is more versatile as it's more efficient and is easily and cleanly dedomed.
I currently have one light with a 519a 4500K, used it stock for a while then dedomed it. Now it's close to 3000K with a peachy tint.

I've read that the 5700K dedomes to around 4500K and below the BBL, never tried one to compare to an sw45k. Apparently they are really pink.
My thoughts are that it would be hard to beat the sw45k for my tastes.

One thing worth mentioning is that depending on specs (efficiency bin) I've noticed that some sw45k are more pink than others. I like the strong pink ones.

Things like AR coatings on lenses and reflectors can all have different effects on tint also.

Here's my experience:

Nichia 219b 4500K: legendary rosiness and neutral tint.

Nichia 519a 4500K: warmer than what I expected for this CCT. Virtually no rosiness, but subjectively brighter. Still excellent high CRI.

The better efficiency of the 519a is a fair trade off for the lack of rosiness. Is one better than another? Not really for me. But the 219b will always be in my collection as a benchmark of excellent tint and duv. Going forward, 519a all the way.

219b 4500k has many bins that effect the rosiness. The lower the bin the rosier.

The really special bins are 180-200.
I have several D220 and they are nice, but I want to see 180-200.

180s are nice. I have all 220s. Rey used to ship a lot of his reylights with the 180s.
