Can't compare them to any other contemporary charger, but I've got one of the 8-bay chargers and it works pretty well. Handles whichever battery I put in it, so long as it's on their list. (And it's an extensive list.) Can do, for example, 18650 Li-Ion at the same time as AA NiMH at the same time as AAA NiMH. Automatically recognizes the correct chemistry and charges accordingly. Automatically shuts off.
If doing a larger cell, such as a D NiMH or a up to 26650 Li-Ion, it comes with a set of extension arms that essentially make the contact points taller for the bigger batteries.
