Translucent coating to convert from cool white to neutral/warm?

I have a Yacig aaa light-up pen which would be excellent for night time journaling if it were not for the cool white led. The frosted diffuser tip appears to be permanently attached and there is no way to unscrew and swap out the led. Is there a hardy translucent coating that I can paint on the diffuser to make the tint closer to a warm white?
