Will bigger Li-ion batteries become a trend?

46800 and above, in my view, is a form factor that, if you think the usual cylindrical flashlight, is too wide for most people to hold comfortably, even those with big hands. That said, if the light's form factor includes a handle, that problem is invalidated.

What I really think is gonna benefit from batteries this chunky is lanterns.

Besides, to compare the energy density among those Li-ion batteries, the 21700 battery seems still the optimal choice.
As far as I know, 18650 still offer the highest energy density (per volume) - or did I miss something? If you know bigger cells with higher energy density, can you please post me a link?

I dont need a link. I have math on my side!

18650s have a volume of 16,532.1 mm3
21700s have a volume of 24,232.95 mm3
Highest capacity 18650 is 4000mah. 0.242 mah per mm3.
Highest capacity 21700 is 6000mah. 0.248 mah per mm3.
So they are pretty much in a dead heat. But technically, the 21700, it if really matches 6000mah ( just like if the 4000mah 18650 actually matches 4000ma), has slightly higher energy density
No other size that I know of is better. 26650s are way behind. And as the smaller cells
