Maelstrom MM-X vs. Quark Turbo QB2L-X

The outputs are similar, but the Maelstrom has short run-times. I used to have a QB2L-X back when it was called Turbo X 123^2 (something like that), but I either misplaced it or it was taken from me. I was thinking of getting it again, but the Maelstrom is also appealing. So the questions I have are:

1. Which has better throw?
-Do the head's differ in size. I remember the Turbo being huge (for such a small body), is the Maelstrom similar (I've never held a Maelstrom before).
2. How does the MM-X compare to a Fenix TK15.
-I have this light. Would the MM-X be kind of redundant?
3. With the outputs being similar, and the Turbo having better run times, what does the Maelstrom have that makes it much more expensive?
4. I haven't been able to get a firm answer: Does the MM-S(G5) outthrow the MM-X(X7), even though the latter has more output?

Thanks, in advance!

Edit: added #4

I bought a small boat. I use a CatEye Nano Shot HL-EL620RC bike light for illumination of the boat itself. But I also need a light in case I need to find something in darkness or if I need to be seen.

Wishlist:
- Floating and waterproof
- durable
- effective emergency flash (360 degerees?)
- easy to operate with cold hands
- the possibility to mount on the windscreen bracket would be nice but the direction needs to be adjustable
There are probably many relevant things that I haven't even thought about. Please educate me, thanks in advance!

Hey I'm looking for a keychain light to round out my EDC keychain kit. I've looked at the ITP A3 and it has some great features but from what I have seen it has two major deal breakers. The first is that its a twist on/off functionality. My problem with this is that at least with my cheap $10 egear keychain light I got from REI when in the loose off position, it is no longer waterproof. Furthermore, on more than one occasion I have had the thing open up in my pocket causing me to loose batteries and what not. The second issue I have with the A3 is size. the thing is 66mm long 18mm in diameter making it the largest item on my kit. My ideal keychain light would be able to push 10+ lumens, have either a switch or button, have a high and low functionality, and be as small and light as possible.
