Zebralights are reknowned for their excellent thermal characteristics.
Most Zebralights, including the SC62, have a "unibody" construction.

about 1:15 mine is too hot to touch imo. Pretty bummed about it. Weird how the my sc62 can handle the heat better even with a smaller head

That is correct; the standard configuration for LEDs is 2 neutral and one warm (the Nichia LED that came with the X-Light donor) LED.
People take 30 minutes for their eyes to adjust to darkness. Once this change has taken place, your ability to see color goes out the window, so to speak.
Is the "Standard" LED configuration 2 neutral & 1 warm?
That is the configuration that I would prefer. In a Gen3, please.
