That was exactly what I did. 2AA Eneloops lit it up for 1 sec giving you "moon moon moon light mode" and shut off, while 1CR123 worked fine

I have several XP-G lights. This doesn't match anything that MAG is offering to consumers. Only one mode, full brightness. Seems to stay bright (regulated)
