You're right about 1.5A not requiring a lot of changes, I didn't say it would. However
Don't use silicone, use windshield urethane. Silicone will ruin the headlamps.
Of course, this is because Lexus *IS* Toyota. You may also see NAL (North American Lighting) which is a Koito Group Company on US-made Toyotas.
John, did you calibrate your UT61e. I bought one to have a low cost quality meter and it did not meet specs on DC voltage. Tt was easy to calibrate and

Sorry but no I do not want 3 amps. You cannot safely run primary that high. With temperature control already built in I don't believe any major design
