If the designer had put the low-low setting in the regular rotation this would have been a much more popular light, but still most definitely has it's own faithful following.

I saw that you're looking for a minimalist CR123 light with a clip and wanted to suggest the Bitz. There is a huge price reduction for them, down from $250 to $125 for the titanium version. They are a very nice light, come with an SSC P4 emitter, which would allow you to have up modded to the very popular high CRI emitter if decided to do so later on.
The reason I'm mentioning this particular light is that there is no clip, sadly, for the excellent Quark MiNi's and having just gotten a Bitz a while back, I've been very impressed by the construction, how small they are for a CR123 light, and the excellent clip that comes with them.
