I just recieved the TR 1200 tonight. So far I'm pretty impressed. (Honeymoon period) It's definitely dadgum bright and a little too tight of a spot to complete into a helmet light for night bike riding as I had hoped, so I'm just gonna use it for lighting the night on fire, LOL. It's going to be a fun one.
The thing seems to be pretty-much just as bright on two 18650's as it is on three.
