Cutco Kitchen Knives?

My wife has a few Cutco kitchen knives that I'm having trouble sharpening. I used the small Cutco pull thru sharpener but noticed it left VERY rough knife edge. Now I have a Spyderco Sharpmaker, but still can't get the Cutco blade edges to be smooth. It's almost like the metal flakes off as I sharpen. I have no problem using the Sharpmaker with my Kershaw Onion and Chive, and other knives. Anyone know what the deal is? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif

You can return Cutco knives to Cutco for free sharpening or free replacement for life. I assume it's their choice.
send to:
Cutco
116 East State Street
Olean,Ny.14760
.
.
or call:
1-800-633-8323
.
The last time my wife did this Cutco replaced some of the knives. I hope this helps.

Thanks Hoghead. Actually I'm aware of Cutco's sharpening/replacement policy. But like most guys, I always try to solve the problem myself first.
