Does laser pointers'output power affects the shooting range or distance? i know 5mW green laser is visible in the dark but i wonder whether it can reach far enough for star-pointing use.
A 5 mw green will be plenty for star pointing. In fact, you really don't want any more powerful than that, as anything more is going to be too bright. When stargazing, you're out there to see the stars, not the laser
