Recomend me 2 f-lights: large 3 or 4D cell and p;ocey size?

I work as taxi driver and use flashlights (FL) to read house numbers, I currently use Maglite 3D cell (130lumens) but in comparison with other FL that I have Coast HP14, PX 45 and Surefire G2X Pro and Chinese CREE Ultrafire FL which is graded at 1200 lumens Maglite's illuminating capabilities leave a lot to be desired. However Maglite has superlong battery life of 70 hrs and D cell batteries can be found in any grocery store unlike CR123.
I do use primarily smaller FL for reading house # but I want large FL to be just as capabale in its illimunating capabilities.
Maglite's spotlight is very narrow.
What do you suggest to me as a replacment for Maglite on a budget of no more than $100.
