Hi all, hoping somebody with great sources can help me out here.
I am looking to get a couple of original French army issue knives, they are sometimes referred to as a Couteau Tatoo or Tatou.
I specifically want to avoid cheap copies of them. Used is fine.

I think I prefer 3rd Gen but might for example take one of each like this guy has.
The guys there advise a search in ebay.fr and that seems not very useful. All the knives in there that even look like they could be a Tatou are Gen 2 ones and cheap, and I do know that there exist lots of Gen 2 copies out there.
These guys http://www.couteautatou.com/cat_Couteau_tatou_bois.html have the civilian version on the 2nd Gen, and I could make do with that. I prefer genuine issue though.
Worst comes to the worst I can resurrect rusty french and write to the OP, fcheva, on that forum.
