I currently use a flashlight that has a Xenon Halogen bulb for inspecting at work. I have tried LED flashlights just don't let me see the same feature as I can see with the Xenon bulb.

What LED is close to the spectrum of a Xenon Halogen bulb? I am looking for a flashlight around >400 lumens.

Do you also want the warm beam of the Incan as well? Or would you prefer whiter with a high CRI? The 3000K Cree, Luxeon Rebel, and other all usually have higher CRI ratings (85-90+). For a more neutral white beam, the Nichia LEDs are nice, 92 CRI at 4500K. Most cool white LEDs are around 75 CRI.

As a note, incans are 100 CRI because they are black body radiators.

Can you buy a flashlight with the Nichia high CRI LED in it and where can I buy one?

I know you can buy the LEDs and modify other lights, they are easily swapped with Cree's XP series and XM-L if the XM-L isn't being driven too hard. I haven't seen any lights with the LED yet, besides McGizmos, but I didn't look too hard.

How do you know you need over 400 lumens?
Try a Xeno E03 first to see if you really want a warm-white LED.

You can get a Malcoff drop in for a P60 host from illumination supply I just ordered one

besides the Nichia id look at warm white/Hi CRI lights

or you could get a Halogen drop in for a Surefire/P60 host
