Re: Milkyspit Mods, Thoughts, Eye Candy [LOTS OF PHOTOS] Part 4
Hey Scott,
Sent you a PM instead of more emails. Haven't heard from you regarding my builds yet. I know you're busy and won't push for my builds to get finished faster than the rest (since nothing concrete has been discussed yet) but would just like to know I'm on the "list" at all.
Thanks.

Any news about my build?
Thanks!

Hello Scott.
I received the PM you sent me, and I sent you a follow-up PM with a couple of shipping questions. Did you receive it?
Happy to hear that the L1 Project was completed. :)

Re: Milkyspit Mods, Thoughts, Eye Candy [LOTS OF PHOTOS] Part 4
Scott, I still have not seen the list we discussed you sending me on the equipment you have of mine nor the status of anything?
Its kind of getting silly at this point.
please advise. If its not going to happen perhaps you could just send me back all my stuff?

I'm sorry, gentlemen, some of the builds have been progressing more slowly than I would have liked. I've avoided posting much here in that it didn't seem right to spend the time to post (which can be considerable) when some of you have been waiting for so long. In hindsight, that was also a mistake: people like to have a "heartbeat" at least, to know that there is progress. I'm sorry to all for my lack of foresight in that.
@Paulinski, I will be in touch later this afternoon or evening... family is going to a cousin's picnic first. I'd call if you prefer, just PM or email me if you'd prefer that.
@KellyGlanzer, got your message and will contact you ASAP.
@SgtLed, think I've got yours licked. If you want a different LED at this point, though, we should talk.

Re: Milkyspit Mods, Thoughts, Eye Candy [LOTS OF PHOTOS] Part 4
Member Tygger posted you made him a custom E2LAA.
You said mine was going to be the first.
So a year and $300 later and still no light I hear I have been passed over.
We need to talk

I swapped the emitter in his and used a single brightness driver, which I could have done with yours a year ago. Nobody has received a light running boost circuitry incorporating the Acorn firmware... yours WILL be the first. That hasn't changed. Yours is by far the more sophisticated (and challenging) build. When we discussed, I didn't even have access to the circuitry I would need to do it right. I have circuitry now, but it's cobbled together and not what I would really WANT to use, as I don't have nearly the cashflow to develop a 100% new driver for the purpose, which would run into the several thousands of dollars.
As to the money you did pay me, about half went to buying you an E2LAA and when the additional parts get added to the mix, I'm earning very little for a lot of time spent on the effort. I went ahead with it because I'd enjoyed building for you in the past, and thought it would be an educational experience for me. Yes, it has taken too long.
Not sure of your schedule but call me anytime it's convenient. If you need my phone number again, send me a PM or email.
No intent to bypass you or jump over you, Jon. I'm sorry if his post upset you.

Re: Milkyspit Mods, Thoughts, Eye Candy [LOTS OF PHOTOS] Part 4
Hey, I'd be interested to know if it's feasibility to consider an upgrade to this one. I've got no idea if an upgrade would even be practical to consider or not, but might like to talk about it if you have the time and inclination at some point.

Upgrade is certainly possible. There are a few different ways that could go, depending on your goals and budget. If you'd like to send me email, send here...

PM also works... if my inbox is full, go with the email as a backup plan. Give me some idea of your hopes for the light, typical uses for it, and possibly your budgetary constraints if applicable, and I'll be able to suggest something appropriate.

Yeah, I'm the current owner. I bought it a little over three years ago from forum member Brozneo who sent it to me from New Zealand. I guess this thing's been all over the world. ;)
But in a way, I feel a bit foolish in asking -- kind of like asking an artist if about repainting a work of art. It's probably better left as is and to consider something new instead of asking about altering this one, unless it's possible to improve upon what we have here by virtue of using some of the elements of the existing build. Just throwing the idea out for consideration. I'll e-mail you about it, though. Thanks, Scott. :)

Re: Milkyspit Mods, Thoughts, Eye Candy [LOTS OF PHOTOS] Part 4
I was upset because I got hit in the back with a chair at work.
His post was the cherry on top of a rough day.
It's ok, keep working on the light.
Today will be a much better day:thumbsup:

WITH A CHAIR???
I can't get the mental image of one of those guys from pro wrestling bringing a folding chair into the ring, out of my head. I know that's probably not what happened to you though. Anyway, hope you're okay!

Just bruised up and stiff. They made me get an x-ray, nothin broken.
I didn't have to miss any work.
A patient high on something called bath salts decided to whack me with a big ol wooden chair while I wasn't looking. It did hurt lol
Another day of wrestling

Probably the most appropriate use of the above smiley, ever! Well, at least I was right about it being a 3-day weekend.

Re: Milkyspit Mods, Thoughts, Eye Candy [LOTS OF PHOTOS] Part 4
hi milky i was wondering if you offer a service to customize a E1B,i was thinking maybe the xr-e could be pushed to 200 lumens or more and and maybe it could have a 2 mode hi/lo and be able to accept a rcrc123 and a cr123.and retain the optic...looking for a custom pocket thrower in E1B form...any thoughts? thanks for your time..

Re: Milkyspit Mods, Thoughts, Eye Candy [LOTS OF PHOTOS] Part 4
Jax not about to speak for Scott, sure he will be along at some point but he most certainly does offer this mod.
FWIW I have been EDCing one of these E1Bs for several yrs. now, as they are called the Creemator & a VERY good choice IMO.

Scott,
Just wondered if you'd got my e-mails. Your reply to my first was dead quick but after I sent a couple replies to you I haven't heard anything so wondered if you'd actually got my messages.

No Electricity... Again!
We here in Northwest NJ got an early snowfall... so naturally we and 200,000 of our neighbors lost our electricity... for "are least two days" per JCP&L, our friendly neighborhood electricity monopoly. If that sounds excessive, even absurd, I would agree 100%. We live in the northeast. We get snow. Deal with it, big energy conglomerate. They handled things nicely in the 1960's, why can't you, what with all the advanced technology and such?
Kinda tough to solder or operate a lathe when the electricity is nonexistent.
