Anybody know anything about "Lime Lights"?
I guess sometime around the timeframe of the 1860's, there was some sort of light used on the theatrical stage, and even adopted and saw some use during the US civil war.
Anyway it was a ball of calcinated lime, hung in some sort of gas. ( I think )
