 Has anyone got a Suunto Observer (or any other wrist computer), and if so what do you think of it? TIA

I did a bunch of research on the Observer and the biggest complaint seemed to be that the alarm was not very loud.

I decided not to purchase one because the face was not mineral glass at the time. I thought a watch at that price should have a more scratch resistant face.

If you do get one, I'd be interested in your thoughts on the watch.

I don't have Observer, but I'm using X-Lander during past 2 years.
Compass mode and barometer mode are very convenient for me.
But this also has small fault. Digital compass tends to be influenced by electromagnetism.
Thermometer measures not temperature of the air but temperature of my body.
However I'm pleased in this on the whole.

I have a Suunto Mosquito, is a dive computer more than a watch, but is great. Only handycap is that underwater alamrs sounds low.

Usually i wear a Casio Protek, with compass, barometer, etc. As said, the termometer read body temperature. The barometer isn't precisse because pressure changes into a car, suburban, etc. Other brands (i think "Polar" dont know if Suunto) correct this to get better results. Altimeter works fine.
