Well, I was looking at the Dorcy Spyder and the Legend LX and noticed both have ceramic spacer bi-pin bulb holders which got me to thinking... Why not a bright 2x123 light? Something in the 200-400 Lumen range that might give at least 10 to 15 minute runtime, though a bit more would be better? Doesn't have to be super white for my uses, just a nice balance of brightness and decent runtime so doesn't even have to be overdriven.

Basically, which bulb would give the most brightness while still giving half way decent runtime? Basically, something like the TL-3 or a bit brighter but in a 2 cell body.

There really isn't a small bipin bulb for that use, at least that I've seen.

All the WA bulbs at that voltage, and that produce that kind of output, want more current than the 123's can give.

Well... darnit.

Would the 123s be capable of keeping up for like 5 seconds at a time? Just to impress ourselves?
