Think I might do that. Just that I was looking at the online manual for the Stinger and noted different tailcap assembly for the XT in parts list, so started wondering if it would fit. Would suppose that you would have to leave the normal switch in "on" position.
Nope...can't be done. Due to the design of the XT in using the body of the light as a conducter to complete the circuit, the switch will not work with a regular Stinger (which does not use the body of the light).
This is why the XT has a slightly dimmer beam than a regular Stinger: from electrical loss due to using the body of the light to complete the circuit.
