I don't know if you are interested in, but we have been making a diving light from Xenlight components.
Here's some pictures and CAD drawings from the prototype:

Batterys (2x5Ah/12V) and the ballast will be in seperated canister like this.
Here is some shots with Brightstar 21W and some halogen lamps.
I was thinking that I will modify that prototype a little and put it to my bike (with one 5Ah battery), but I heard that's too bright..? :ironic:
Happily the ballast is dimmable so maybe it isn't too shiny in 25W mode.
We will see what policemen says about the lamp. They give fines here if you don't have lamp in your bicycle.. And if the lamp is too bright?
