Heres something interesting. I ran the L1P on a Sanyo HR-4U as well, to give us something to compare the two circuits. Lux readings were left off, maximum time is the same per graph, but the output was set to the peak that each light had, so it should give a direct comparisson.

Nice work chev !

Looks alot like the L1P runtimes,
which I expected, just a boost, not really any regulation.
But not bad at all on the nimh cells.
Wonder if mines waiting for me at home... :D

I expect the lithium plot to look a lot like the L1P posted on Lighthound.

It REALLY extends the brightness for MUCH longer.

Chevrofreak,

I will mail you a couple of lithiums if you will do a runtime plot.

If you have other lights than need a lithium runplot, I could mail you a 4 pack. I got some on sale at CVS. Just let me know how many you need and PM me your address.

Thanks for doing the runtimes!

do you need one?

The L0P actually belongs to a friend of mine, so it needs to get mailed off to him pretty soon.

I assume you were offering to send me one, which was very generous, but given the time constraints I must decline :)
I could just take up a PayPal fund to buy a lithium cell

I thank you for your offer as well, but I must decline unless I can convince the owner to let me keep it for another week

Sounds good to me Bernie :)

I don't really like taking money from people but I can make an exception just this once :p

You guys are very generous, I really appreciate it!

Looks like a pretty good curve to me. About an hour of light before I'd be compelled to recharge.

Now if only the mailman would show up...

PayPal sent, I hope $15 is sufficient. If not, please tell me and I'll send more troops :D

And ... you are not taking money, you are doing the community a favour.
Thank you.

Wow, the plot with the alkaline really SUCKS.
Good thing I ordered 8 NiMH AAAs with my two L0Ps (which are now in my hands, btw).

I wonder how the Oxyride's would do. The package claims 2x the life and the fine print says tested at 1.2watt load. I have a $5 mail in rebate coupon on a 4 pack so that could make them worth buying.
